FISHERMAN GONE MISSING WHILE FISHING
SAN JUAN, SIQUIJOR – A man has gone missing after it went fishing yesterday morning in the waters near Bgy. Tambisan, San Juan town.
Authorities recovered a boat which was reportedly used by a fisherman identified as Richard Aux, 43, a resident of Bgy. Tambisan, San Juan yesterday afternoon. The boat was reportedly borrowed from a relative, a certain Manuel Bucol.
In a report, Richard Aux was discovered missing after a certain Andres Buhian found the boat floating meters from the shore of Bgy. Tambisan, San Juan.
In an interview with DYSQ Radyo Bisdak, Segundina Aux, the mother of Richard, said that her son has asthma and is only fishing with the use of hook and nylon line. Segundina added that her son even has maintenance medicine for asthma.
According to her, Richard went fishing around 8:00 o’clock yesterday morning. She even asked her son to bring food before leaving in case he becomes hungry while fishing. She added that her son usually comes home around 12:00 in the afternoon, but yesterday her son has not come home.
Authorities recovered a pair of slippers, cooler with fish believed to be catch of Richard, and other personal belongings. Segundina added that the paddle was missing from the boat.
The mother described Richard as tall, medium built, and was wearing a violet long sleeve shirt with a nike marking, topped with a white sleeveless shirt and is wearing black and white checkered pants.
Accordining to Segundina, her son’s birthday will be on April 17, but they’re still not certain if they can celebrate it with him. It remains a mystery for the family the whereabouts of Richard.
