Kanumdom ba mo sa M/V Delta 1?

MEMORIAM | M/V Delta 1

PSSS pays tribute to a fast craft well known among Dumaguetehanons and Siquijodnons alike.

The M/V Delta 1 was built as a small short-distance fast craft in 1988 by Kiso Shipbuilding in Hiroshima, Japan and entered service with her now-defunct operator: DIMC Shipping (also known as Delta Fast Ferries) in the late 1990s. Throughout her remaining life as a vessel, she was a mainstay on the Dumaguete to Siquijor v.v. route. Despite her diminutive size, she was able to cope with the notoriously unforgiving sea conditions on her route.

She met her demise, however, in 2012 when she sank while seeking shelter off Siquijor at the height of Typhoon Pablo.
